Weekend Scholarship Watch - March 14th

Amount: $1,000 

Eligibility: High school seniors who identify as female with a minimum 3.5 GPA. 

Requirements: Application form, 500-800 word essay on leadership, academic resume, educator recommendation letter, transcript, and color headshot. 

Deadline: March 14, 2026 


Amount: Varies ($500 to $7,500) 

Eligibility: Students enrolled in an undergraduate hospitality-related degree program at a U.S. college or university. 

Requirements: Application evaluating academics, hospitality work experience, extracurricular activities, and financial need. 

Deadline: March 15, 2026 


Amount: $1,500 (4 awards) 

Eligibility: Graduating seniors from Dallas or Lake Lehman School Districts attending an accredited higher education institution (including vocational schools), with a minimum 2.5 GPA. 

Requirements: Demonstrated school/community involvement, explained financial need, completed application, two recommendation letters, and recent transcript with GPA. 

Deadline: March 15, 2026 


Amount: $1,000 

Eligibility: High school juniors or seniors with a chronic medical condition (e.g., asthma) from underprivileged backgrounds. 

Requirements: Essay explaining how your medical condition has affected your life and what your future goals are. 

Deadline: March 15, 2026 


Amount: $2,000 (tuition/room & board) + laptop/tablet (first-time). (3 awards) 

Eligibility: Siblings of childhood cancer survivors/patients (living in same household during treatment) or siblings of deceased childhood cancer patients, accepted/enrolled in an accredited U.S. undergraduate/graduate program. 

Requirements: Application, academic recommendation, physician's letter (for patient/survivor), 500-word essay on cancer's impact on worldview, publication release. 

Deadline: March 15, 2026. 


Amount: $10,000 (15 awards)  

Eligibility: Young people aged 8-18 (not yet 19 by April 15 deadline), permanent legal residents of the U.S. or Canada, who have organized and led an extraordinary service activity benefiting people or the planet. Applicants must be working individually on their service project.  

Requirements: The application is a two-step process. Step 1 (pre-application) and Step 2 (full application). This includes a project summary, essay, three letters of recommendation, and a color photo.  

Deadline: Step 1 (pre-application): March 15, 2026, 5 PM Mountain Time. Step 2 (full application): April 15, 2026, 5 PM Mountain Time.  


Amount: $5,000 (Renewable) 

Eligibility: High school seniors (minimum 2.5 GPA) planning to attend college or vocational school for technology, business, or law. 

Requirements: Application, transcript, online recommendation, and an essay proposing a tech innovation for individuals with disabilities. 

Deadline: March 17, 2026 


Amount: $500 (Awarded monthly) 

Eligibility: High school, college, or graduate students in the US or Canada with a minimum 3.0 GPA. 

Requirements: You must have already designed and executed an innovative project that helps others. The file requires an essay detailing the project's goal, a letter of recommendation validating your work, and a photo of you during the project's execution. 

Deadline: March 20 , 2026 (by 11:59 PM PST).

 

Amount: $1,000 

Eligibility: High school, undergraduate, or graduate students diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF) and/or a learning disability. 

Requirements: Video or essay detailing your experience with your disability and motivation for pursuing higher education. 

Deadline: March 21, 2026 


Amount: $500 

Eligibility: LGBTQ+ high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate students who are underrepresented minorities and first-generation college students. 

Requirements: 400–600 word essay detailing what makes you unique and your personal/professional goals. 

Deadline: March 22, 2026 


Amount: Up to $5,000 

Eligibility: Texas high school seniors planning to enroll full-time in a 2-year or 4-year in-state college or university. 

Requirements: Online application and a 300-350 word essay demonstrating measurable leadership in a litter prevention program.
