Weekend Scholarship Watch – November 9

Amount: $1,000 

Eligibility: Scholarship is open to students between the ages of 14-25 who will be attending school in the Fall of 2026. 

Requirements: Applicant must share in 10 words or less why they deserve the scholarship. 

Deadline: November 15 

 

Amount: $2,500 (1st), $1,000 (2nd), $500 (3rd) 

Eligibility: Competition is open to high school musicians (grades 9-12) enrolled during the 2025-2026 academic year. 

Requirements: Performers of woodwind, brass, or percussion instructions may apply. Applicant must select one of the works listed on the application for their instrument and submit an audio recording of their performance accompanied by piano, band, or orchestra. 

Deadline: November 15, 2025 

 

Amount: Up to $10,000 

Eligibility: Award is open to classical instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers between the ages of 8 and 18 who have not yet entered college during the 2025-2026 academic year. 

Requirements: At least two unedited, un-enhanced video or audio samples of your music for upload into the application portal. 

Contact information for two teachers (an academic teacher and a music teacher) who are willing to write you recommendations. 

A copy of your family’s most recent tax forms (including all schedules, attachments, and W2 forms), and a copy of your recent academic transcripts. 

Deadline: November 15, 2025 

 

Amount: $500 

Eligibility: Scholarship is open to students between the ages of 16 and 25 who are citizens of the United States and have a GPA of at least 2.5. 

Requirements: Applicant must submit an essay on a city of the applicant’s choice and an essay explaining why they believe they should win the scholarship. 

Deadlines: November 15, 2025 

 

Amount: $200 

Eligibility: Scholarship is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 16 years of age or older. 

Requirements: Applicant must submit an essay on the following prompt: “Discuss how technology has positively impacted your classroom experience. 

Deadline: November 15, 2025 

 

Amount: $500 

Eligibility: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in high school or college within the United States with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a citizen of, permanent resident, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada. 

Requirements: Applicant must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others and submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation. 

Deadline: November 20, 2025 

 

Amount: $1,000 

Eligibility: Open to students who are attending or who will attend an accredited college, university, or trade school in 2025. 

Requirements: Complete the application form and submit a 300-word essay that addresses the question, “How does writing impact today’s world?” 

Deadline: November 30, 2025 

 

Amount: $5,000 

Eligibility: Must be a legal U.S. resident 14 years of age or older 

Requirements: Write in 250 words or less about what you would say to someone who thinks education doesn’t matter, or that college is a waste of time and money. 

Deadline: November 30, 2025 

 

Amount: $500 

Eligibility: Open to high school seniors who have been accepted into college and students currently enrolled in a U.S. college, university, or trade school 

Requirements: Create a public service announcement video less than 2 minutes in length about what motorists should do if they see a law enforcement vehicle that is stopped on the side of the road. 

Deadline: November 30, 2025 

 

Amount: $500 

Eligibility: Open to high school senior, undergraduate, and graduate students who demonstrate a sincere passion for mental health 

Requirements: Complete the online application, including an essay of no more than 500 words addressing the question, “How has mental health impacted your life, and how do you hope to contribute to the field?”
